Di$count is definitely one of fASHLIN's favorite Australian indie-designers, due to the sheer quality and painstaking craftsmanship of their handmade garments. You may have seen their work featured in the likes of Dazed & Confused, Oyster and amongst many other notable fashion zines. Di$count originally started by simply taking denim and leather jackets that they have constructed by hand, and in the same meticulous fashion that has gained them their present notoriety, they cohesively hand stud the entire garment. I know that you have all seen studded jackets and sequined blouses from the likes of Jeremy Scott and Ashish before, however these designers have a multimillion dollar assembly line that can create their designs for them. Indie-designer Di$count devotes sometimes years to finishing a single piece, often times traveling with them overseas as little companions, taking in the sights like part of the family. "Made with love" seems so incomparable when you truly understand the amount of effort and time sacrificed towards accomplishing any single finished creation in their line. With the amount of time it takes, we're surprised they even have a line created! Not only did they put on a fabulous runway show recently at the 2012 L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival, perhaps one of their best career highlights would be having Britney Spears wear one of their insane metallic snakeskin jackets in her "Hold It Against Me" music video. Check out some of the wild shots from their runway show, and be sure to check out what pieces they have for sale at the Di$count Universe online shop.

Yep, all of the sequins are by hand as well. Painstakingly tedious.

Sounds great! Hey are you hungry? My mom is grilling some sort of impressive dinner, and she wants me to extend an invitation, if you feel so inclined.
